Gas Central Heating Services

If your home is connected to the mains gas grid, gas central heating is the most common and cost-effective choice – it’s what the vast majority of UK homes run on. A gas boiler heats water to provide heating through your radiators and hot water through your taps, and our team install, service and repair gas central heating systems across Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex.

All gas work is carried out by our Gas Safe registered engineers – the legal requirement for anyone installing, servicing or repairing gas boilers and appliances in the UK.

A central heating system consists of the boiler, associated header tanks, hot water cisterns, and the pipework that feeds your hot water and radiators, along with the controls, pumps and valves that keep it all running.

Not on the Mains? We Also Work with LPG

If your property isn’t connected to the mains gas grid, you may still be able to run a gas central heating system using LPG (bottled or tank-stored gas) rather than switching to oil. We install and service LPG systems too – get in touch to discuss whether it’s a good fit for your property.

Boilers

If you have an older boiler, you may be able to save money by replacing it – modern boilers must be “condensing boilers,” typically achieving greater than 90% efficiency by condensing the water vapour in the exhaust gases and recovering heat that would otherwise be wasted.

Buxton Heating are Worcester Bosch Accredited installers, giving us a high level of experience and training with Worcester Bosch boilers. We’re also able to install other makes of boiler and components, should you prefer a particular brand or if your home’s setup demands it.

Radiators

We install both designer and standard radiators. We’d also recommend fitting Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRVs) if you don’t already have them – these let you control each radiator’s temperature individually, saving money and making your heating more efficient.

Pumps, Valves & Pressure Vessels

These technical parts of your system are just as important as the boiler and radiators, although they get far less attention. Our engineers will specify and install the appropriate components for your home.

Controls

We can install basic mechanical timers, or a programmable thermostat that lets you set temperature and water demands for each day of the week. We’re also Nest Approved installers – the Nest smart thermostat lets you control your heating from your phone from anywhere, and can link to carbon monoxide detectors and even webcams.
